Detailed explanation of the contents

Referring to the previous Waka, there are some common points such as: the word ¨ahimiru¨ (is used in the both Waka), and both waka are about complicated feeling of love after a meeting.  His un-discardable obsession is hidden behind in the sound of the phrase, ¨nagorishimokoso.¨

Can you break ¨nagorishimokoso¨ into the smallest words (grammatical compositions)?  The composed units are: ¨nagori / shi / mo / koso.¨  This ¨shi¨ is an emphasizing adverbial particle.  The units ¨mo¨ and ¨koso¨ are both emphasizing linking particles.  He use three emphasizing unit words to only express his ¨remained (nagori)¨ ¨love feeling (koishii).¨  How shall I translate this to modern Japanese (and also into English)?  'I met you, and gather my strong obsession of trying not to loose any pieces of memory about you who is no longer with me. How I can deal with this wobbling hesitation of my ¨love feeling¨ towards you.

This is a trick of the (Waka) format (5, 7, 5, 7, 7) which smoothly connets the triple  emphasises (three emphasizing particles) in the poem.  If this was said in a normal format, it would be too heavy.

The pevious waka¨Yumeyoyume koishikihitoni aimishuna sametenonochini wabishikarikeri.¨ expressed the empty feeling of when he woke up from the dream of meeting with his lover.   This waka is about his growing love feeling after he met his lover. Either of the situations, it must be very hard.  Be strong!
